More and more people these days are becoming concerned with the value of the food they’ve been purchasing from large chain grocery stores, restaurants and more. The demand for something healthier is making waves. People are educating themselves on the “food recalls”, “foods laced with chemicals” and the inhumane and santitary conditions of the animals that are processed into most meat products.
Let me tell you, it isn’t easy nor cheap to be a small organic farmer! There are so many elements that come into play, whether it be weather conditions, organic pest control, or how to keep the wildlife out that wants your crops just as much as you do! We’ve learned a lot of things the hard way, which often turns into a very expensive lesson. I’d like to encourage you to support Organic Produce purchases. As more people go for organic clean food in the stores, the more available and cost effective it can become. Go to your local small family farms to support them!
