Pinedora Weekly Issue 26

News This Week:

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to extend an extremely grateful, loving, and appreciative hand out to all of you who attended our event this past weekend!! We can’t thank you enough for showing up and showing your support for what is going on in our local communities these days!! When we all gather together as one, we truly can make a difference in the world! And speaking of making a difference in the world, we are already planning out the details of our second annual Harvest Music Festival to help raise money for our ELF program (Educating Little Farmers). Cause let’s face it, when all of us older farmers retire, who do you think is going to grow all the food to feed this world?? So we are putting together free educational programs for children to teach them every little aspect of farming, whether on a large scale or at home with whatever resources are available. They will be given an entire literature packet to take home, their own gardening belt with tools, a packet of mixed seeds to grow at home, as well as a starter seed that they planted during the tour. They will be educated on the integration of systems in gardening (all age-appropriate, of course), and from-garden-to-table instructions on how to harvest and prepare healthy snacks/meals for themselves. But our plan is to make all of this free for the children, because they shouldn’t have to pay for their educations (till college anyway). So that’s why we need your help! We are booking new bands as we speak and getting all the details together. So keep in touch if you are interested in attending. The event will be held on September 21st & 22nd; its $15 per day or $20 for both days, camping will be extra; we will have food and miscellaneous vendors on site… more details to come as we get closer to the event. Camping spaces are limited so contact us ASAP if you would like to reserve a spot; we’re just two month away after all!
