News This Week:
Hey there Folks, sorry we missed you for so long! We’ve been busier than bees trying to prepare for Fall and the close of the Market Season. Many of our garden beds have been dug up and amended so they can rest till next Spring, and others have already been replanted for the cold season. We also have hundreds of seeds planted for Fall and plan to continue growing throughout the Winter. There will be Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Collards, Kale, Lettuce, Onions, Spinach… all the favorites that can handle a bit of a chill, and, in fact, taste even better in the cold. We’ll also be attempting a few warmer season crops- but we’ll just have to keep them a little toastier than the others. We’ve also finally perfected our hair serum and will be unveiling it at next weekend’s market. But stop on by this Saturday from 9-12 and check out all of our other great products in the mean time! (-We will be closing an hour early this week.)
Health & Wellness:
Healthy looking hair is in general a sign of good health and hair-care practices. Most healthy individuals have adequate nutrients in their diet; however some people do not have access to good nutrition, others have medical illnesses that predispose them to nutritional deficiencies which influence scalp/body hair. Nutrition is a complex subject- the effects of correct nutrition are indirect and often slow to appear. Hair in particular is slow to respond to any stimulus. Trials have indicated that correct nutrition is instrumental in healthy hair growth, and conversely many deficiencies correlate with hair loss. Hair nutrition is therefore a vital part of any treatment regime!
